Inside the ‘crazy’ decisions that left Britain with no gas storage and vulnerable to Putin


Our Corporate Affairs Officer, Jeremy Nicholson spoke with The Telegraph about how vulnerable industrial users are in the current gas supply crisis.

Nicholson points out: “They are affected sooner and more severely than domestic consumers by rocketing wholesale prices, and at greater risk of losing supply altogether in emergency conditions. It’s not sustainable to rely on shutting down industry to keep domestic supplies secure, but unfortunately it seems to take the experience of a once in a generation energy crisis for this message to sink in with ministers. Let’s hope lessons are learned fast before even more damage is done.”
