In February of 2020, Alfa Energy UK set a target to become a net zero greenhouse gas emitter by 31 December 2025, 25 years ahead of the official UK 2050 target.
As part of this commitment we:
AEG’s Green Steering Committee met remotely for the first time in March, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. With everyone working from home, it was easy to reduce the environmental impacts of the London office, but the Committee shared some ideas on how to reduce indirect emissions from our home offices, such as only heating the rooms we work in and boiling only enough water for a cup of tea or coffee, among others.
Since its inception, the Committee has been meeting regularly and providing the company with information on our environmental impacts. In this space, we will share with you how we currently manage those impacts as well as any areas for improvement. We’d also love to hear from you on how your company manages them as we believe that growth and betterment comes from great collaboration.
We will also keep you updated on the progress of the remainder of our commitment.
