Our Community
Every person has a responsibility to be good to those around them.
We as a business also hold that to be true for us as a collective, and we believe it should go further than just creating a positive work environment for our colleagues.
Over the years, we have made an effort to create a difference in the lives of those in our community.
SOS Children’s Village (B&H)
Our partnership with the SOS Children’s Village in Bosnia and Herzegovina began in 2012 with a donation to help improve the infrastructure of the children’s homes.
Many of our employees also sponsor individual children living in the children’s villages in Bosnia, and each year during the holidays we deliver presents to every child in the Sarajevo village.
In 2019, in collaboration with the SOS Children’s Village, we held the “Key to Happiness” photo contest and auction. All proceeds from the sale of the photos went directly to SOS.
Ealing Food Bank
As Ealing is our local community, we help to feed those in need with regular donations of shelf-stable food.
Log Cabin
In the UK, we have been partnering with Log Cabin, a charity that provides assistance to children with additional learning needs. Alongside donating toys, tech, and stationery, we’ve also helped out with events such as an Easter egg hunt in 2019.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository
Our Chicago office has been a long-time supporter of the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Our team there volunteers every year around the holidays to help those in need.
Helping During the Pandemic
The coronavirus has had a profoundly negative effect on people not just in the UK but all over the world. During the thick of it, we did what we could to help. In London, we partnered with local restaurant, Hare & Tortoise, to deliver meals to NHS staff in Ealing Hospital.
With everyone working from home, we had also created an app for our people to be able to donate the money they would have spent on their daily morning coffee/tea. In the UK, these donations went to NHS Charities Together, Trussell Trust (foodbanks), Age UK, Samaritans, Crisis, Kensington Temple Food Hub, Stand Up to Racism, the Runnymede Trust, and Save the Children’s Yemen Crisis Appeal. In Sarajevo, the donations went to a local organisation, “Ruku na Srce” (“Hand on Heart”), who was making collection for families hardest hit by the pandemic due to job losses and medical costs.
