FiTs is currently being charged by all suppliers on your Electricity bill up to 31st March 2013 and from 1st April 2013 there will be an increase across the board.
The increase is set by the government to pay for the Feed in Tariff incentive subsidy for renewable energy generation. How much each supplier must contribute is in line with their market share. The cost each supplier must pay is of course passed onto the consumer.
As such, each supplier will have different rates according to their market size and they shall notify you of the exact increase, this will be in terms of Pence Per Unit / kWh.
It is important to note, that some suppliers will include the Feed in Tariff within their prices whilst others will show it as an additional charge.
For further clarity please do contact alfaenergy where we would happily explain in detail what this would mean for you specifically as this will vary to each and every user.
